It can be overwhelming to see Chagalls’ brushstrokes next to Keith Haring’s movement, right beside Umberto Mariani’s color and texture. But as one of the world’s leading dealers in contemporary and modern art, Opera Gallery strives to leave an impression.

Celebrating its expansion to the Miami Design District, the gallery located on the second floor of Palm Court, displayed the work of several renowned artists such as Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Alexander Calder, Jean Dubuffet and Fernando Botero, amongst other impressive pieces.

Sculptures and paintings alike resonated with their dynamic qualities and bright design. All of them representing the heart of twenty first century art. Joe Black’s work “Angels with Dirty Face (Beginning), 2014” is just one of the examples; a large skull composed of 15,000 spray-painted plastic flowers.

Gilles Dyan, Opera Gallery Group Founder and Chairman, spoke with LETAGE about the importance of offering clients the highest quality of art on the market. And how despite their numerous prestigious locations in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, Miami is very important in establishing a presence in North America. Their newest gallery is a move towards opening exhibitions in New York and hopefully California and Texas later on.

Their newest store however, is in no way a small step and walking through their gallery in the Design District is a lot like visiting a miniature MoMa. To keep the experience fresh for both new and previous customers, the display is changed almost every week, new paintings arriving from Opera Gallery’s locations all over the globe. So get ready to be stunned Miami.
