Don King and his team achieved what BLK Prime could not…by successfully achieving two goals for former four-division champion Adrian Broner tonight. Adrien “The Problem” Broner needed a fight after two years and four months outside the ring. Secondly, he needed his hand raised and a “W” under his boxing record immediately. Many boxing analysts did not know which AB they would see in his return bout. So while it was a huge departure from the usual huge crowds and televised fights, he and his Trainer Kevin Cunningham were prepared and ready for this fight against Bill Hutchinson (20-2-4)

Adrien’s last win was in February 2021 at the Mohegan Sun Casino against Jovanie Santiago. The previous fight before that was his mega-fight with Manny Pacquiao on January 19, 2019, in which he suffered a loss to the Pacman. The main problem with “The Problem” at that time was his low punch output. But tonight, this Broner (still at welterweight) increased his output significantly throughout the 10-round fight. Hutchinson seemed to be too durable for AB to get the stoppage, but he had Bill hurt a few times throughout the bout. AB has a dominant performance and the Florida Boxing Commission judges all agreed by giving Adrien a Unanimous decision. Moving Broner’s record to 35-4-1 with a unanimous decision win.

After the fight, Broner was enthusiastic about potential opponents alongside veteran promoter Don King. Both were elated with the outcome of the fight and looking forward to Broner’s future boxing match-ups. AB mentioned the winner of Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez and Rolando “Rolly” Romero. While Don King ecstatically mentioned exploring Golden Boy’s Oscar De La Hoya suggestion of a Broner vs Ryan Garcia fight. King confidently said they are planning to have a call to speak with Oscar about the possibility.

The match-up with Don King Productions seems to be a great one for Don King and the Cincinnati native. At 91 years young, Don King seemed to be given new life and energy from signing Adrien Broner; just as much as Broner seems to be gaining a new chance at a boxing career and a new agenda from the Don King Productions. Don King and AB…Could this be the next Dream Team? Only time will tell if Adrien Broner can out-wit himself and stay on course,
