In its third Miami edition, the festival expands to five nights with programming across the Miami Beach Bandshell and The Hangar in Coconut Grove.
The Montreux Jazz Festival Miami returns in 2026 with its most expansive edition yet, a five-night celebration of music that brings jazz heritage, contemporary grooves, and global rhythms to two of Miami’s most beloved venues from February 25 through March 1, 2026.
This year marked a milestone for the festival, expanding into Miami Beach’s iconic Bandshell before continuing its main weekend at The Hangar at Regatta Grove in Coconut Grove, an intimate waterfront venue where Montreux’s spirit thrives.

On Wednesday, Feb. 25, the festival opened with a Miles Davis Centennial Celebration, honoring one of the most transformative figures in modern music. The Miles Electric Band and the Kind of Blue Acoustic Band, joined by Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Sammy Figueroa, JoJo, Lalah Hathaway and Ibrahim Maalouf, offered a performance that paid homage to Davis’s legacy while exploring fresh improvisational paths.
Thursday, Feb. 26, featured visionary drummer and composer Makaya McCraven, whose genre‑blending performance combined jazz, hip-hop, and improvisational storytelling, leaving the audience fully immersed in the music.
Friday, Feb. 27, brought the heart of New Orleans to Miami. GRAMMY and Academy Award winner Jon Batiste co-hosted with Trombone Shorty, presenting a captivating New Orleans Celebration at The Hangar. Onstage alongside them were Louisiana luminaries PJ Morton, Tank (of Tank and the Bangas) and La Reezy. The night was alive with rhythm, brass, and improvisational flair, celebrating the rich musical lineage of the Crescent City.
The weekend continued on Saturday, Feb. 28, with timeless grooves from Nile Rodgers & CHIC, rock-infused classics from TOTO and soulful funk from Adi Oasis, bridging generations and genres with sophistication and groove.
Closing out the festival on Sunday, March 1, were Colombia’s Bomba Estéreo, rising Latin pop star Elena Rose, and Cuban percussionist Pedrito Martinez, weaving together sounds from across the Americas with infectious rhythm and warmth.
Beyond the headliners, the Montreux Jazz Festival Miami thrives on subtle, human moments: spontaneous jam sessions, shared musical discovery, and the sense of community created when audience and performers connect. This edition once again proves that music is not merely heard; it is felt, lived, and shared.
As Montreux Jazz Festival Miami grows, it continues to provide a space where creativity feels alive, traditions meet innovation, and audiences experience the power of music to unite and inspire.
